6 slices thick brioche bread, or 12 slices white bread, cut in ½ inch squares
1 pint fresh blueberries
5 eggs
1 ¼ cup milk
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, toss together bread and blueberries.
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, syrup, vanilla, zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add melted butter and mix to combine. Pour egg mixture over bread and blueberries. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
